Self-Guided Fly & Ride Motorcycle Tour: zhangjiajie, minorities countryside, guilin and yangshuo

Day 1 Arrival in Changsha

Warm welcome by local guide (you can choose the language).
You will have a short health test to confirm that you are able to drive a car safely.
Applying Chinese riding license at traffic police station with your passport, original riding license and health examination table.

Day 2 Changsha

The traffic police office will take one day to prepare your new temporary Chinese riding license, so you could have a leisure day in Changsha. Hanging out and exploring the city by yourself. Taiping street may be a good place to visit local people’s life.

Day 3 Changsha – Zhangjiajie (321km, 4hrs riding )

Riding head to the world famous Avatar Park, Zhangjiajie. It is a big national forest park with extraordinary landscape. Travel in Zhangjiajie, seems you are traveling in a real Pandora world!

Day 4 Zhangjiajie

Today we gonna visit part of this scenic area, including Zhangjiajie National Forest park, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, Yuanjiajie Nature Reserve.
It will be a no-riding day

Day 5 Zhangjiajie

Visit Baofeng (Treasure Peak) Lake and Glass bridge at Grand Canyon. The Glass bridge at Grand Canyon is a highlight of Zhangjiajie, it is the “world highest and longest glass bridge” with the full length of 430 m and a respectively height of about 400 m above the valley bottom.
Standing on the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge all paved with transparent glass, you would be stressful and frightened, but be fearless to move on your step, since you would be touched by your big bold and you can have the fabulous view of the silver streams and green valley under 400 m.

Day 6 Zhangjiajie – Fenghuang (220km, 3 hrs riding)

You will finish Zhangjiajie Scenic Tout at around 15:00pm, and continue driving to Fenghuang ancient town. Enjoy the night view along Tuojiang river.

Day 7 Fenghuang – Tongren (273km, 4 hrs riding)

Visit Yunshe village located at the footage of Fanjing mountain. It is a village for Tujia minority with beautiful landscape.

Day 8 Tongren – Kaili (217km, 3 hrs riding)

Visit some local Miao’s village, the most famous one is Thousands household Miao village in Xijiang, 30 km away from Kaili city, but it is a bit commercial. Thousands household Miao village is quite famous for the night view.

Day 9 Kaili – Zhaoxing – Longji (320km, 4.5 hrs riding)

Zhaoxing is famous as the residential palce of Dong minority. Wind and rain bridge together with drum tower are the typical buildings here.

Day 10 Longji – Guilin (80km, 1hrs riding )

Visit famous Longji (Dragon back ) Rice Terrace, walking in the countryside and watching buffalo working in the field.

Day 11 Guilin – Yangshuo (80km, 1hrs riding)

Many foreigner backpackers are here in Yangshuo. you could rent a bike from hostel and riding along the Li river, or you could have experience about bamboo rafting in Yangshuo.

Day 12 Yangshuo – Yongzhou (300km, 3.5 hrs riding)

Driving to Shanggantang village, a local historical and cultural site. It is a clean ancient village with little tourists, worth to see.

Day 13 Yongzhou – Changsha (314km, 3.5 hrs riding)

Ride back to Changsha, and return motorbike.
