Founding History: The Origin and Evolution of the Expo

The China International Motorcycle Expo, known as CIMA Motor, was first established in Chongqing in 2002. The expo was founded against the backdrop of rapid growth in China’s motorcycle market and the increasing dynamism of the global motorcycle market. Initially, the expo focused primarily on showcasing domestic motorcycle brands and products, aiming to promote exchange and cooperation within the Chinese motorcycle industry and enhance the international competitiveness of Chinese motorcycle products.

Over the years, the expo has gradually expanded its scope and scale. From its early days of primarily displaying domestic brands, it has grown to attract participation from internationally renowned motorcycle brands from Japan, Europe, and the United States. The content of the expo has also broadened, evolving from simple product displays to include technical exchanges, industry forums, and test ride experiences.

Review of Past Expos: Major Achievements and Highlights

  • By 2002, the inaugural CIMA Motor attracted over 50 domestic motorcycle companies, with an exhibition area of 10,000 square meters. During the expo, several industry forums were held to promote exchanges and cooperation among domestic motorcycle companies.
  • By 2006, CIMA Motor had become one of the largest motorcycle exhibitions in Asia, featuring over 200 participating companies and an exhibition area exceeding 30,000 square meters. The expo covered a wide range of products, including motorcycles, parts, modified vehicles, and related services.

  • Second, click on the “Register Tickets” — “Professional Visitor Pre-Registration” button to enter the registration page.
  • Third, enter your mobile phone number and obtain a verification code to log in.
  • Fourth, fill in and verify the relevant information, then click “Submit.”
  • Fifth, once approved, you will receive an SMS notification.

Layout of the Previous Exhibition

According to previous exhibition, all motorcycle enthusiasts enter through the North Gate. The main entrance is reserved for pedestrian visitors. Riders enter through the North Gate and park their bikes in the North Parking Lot.

  • The first exhibition hall you encounter when entering the North Hall is Hall N8. This hall features brands like Zongshen, Cyclone, and Wuji.

  • N7
  • After passing through Hall N8, you reach Hall N7. This hall hosts large exhibits from Qianjiang and Benelli. This year, Qianjiang is introducing a new brand with exciting new models.

  • N6
  • Exiting Hall N7, diagonally opposite is Hall N6. This hall prominently features Honda and Yamaha, as well as the new brand, Liebian. Be sure to check them out.

  • N5
  • From Hall N7, walking straight ahead leads to Hall N5. Kawasaki is the highlight here, showcasing unique models including the powerful H2 series.

  • N4
  • Following the same path, look to the front right after exiting Hall N5 to find Hall N4. If you’re coming from Hall N6, walking straight will lead you to Hall N4. This hall is notable for featuring Harley-Davidson, which will have a diverse product display this year.

  • N3
  • Continuing straight ahead from Hall N5 brings you to Hall N3. This hall showcases Lifan Motorcycles, although their booth is positioned a bit towards the back this year.

  • N1
  • Directly in front of Hall N3 is Hall N1, which is predominantly occupied by suppliers.

  • In summary, Halls 1, 3, 5, 7, and 8 are located on the left side of the North Exhibition Center, while Halls 2, 4, and 6 are on the right side. Additionally, the outdoor area of the North Exhibition Center hosts various test rides and driving activities. If interested, you can head outside to experience these events.

                        • The 2024 China International Motorcycle Expo will be held in Halls N1, N3, N4, N5, N6, N7, N8, and the North Outdoor Plaza. Visitors must present a valid ticket or pass to enter.

                         

                         

                        • Professional visitors can register for a professional visitor pass before 12:00 PM on August 31, 2024. This pass is personal, non-transferable, and allows multiple entries.

                         

                         

                        • General visitors must purchase a ticket for entry. Tickets are valid for single entry only. Children under 1.3 meters (inclusive) can enter for free when accompanied by an adult.

                         

                         

                        • Please purchase tickets from the official ticketing points designated by the China Motorcycle Expo Committee to avoid counterfeits. Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources may be fake or invalid and will not grant entry. Do not purchase electronic ticket images from unauthorized sellers.

                         

                         

                        • The resale of electronic tickets/passes is prohibited. The committee reserves the right to pursue legal action against those engaging in ticket scalping and to deny entry to the final ticket/pass holder.
