1. China has reopened borders to tourists after three years of Covi-zero closure.
2. Tourist visa to China (L Visa) is still not available for application. Only M, F, Z, Q, S, X1 and C visas are accepted now. But we believe that Chinese tourist visa will be restarted very soon.
3. Travellers to China no longer required to covid quarantine, after almost three years of being subject to varying durations of mandatory isolation.
* However, customs and border inspection still have some specific requirements, which I will add below.
3.1 Nucleic Acid Test
Travelers to china are required to take one nucleic acid test(pcr test) within 48 hours before departure, and those with negative test results are eligible to travel into china. Travelers with positive test results could only travel once the test results turned negative.
3.2 Health Code
Travelers are no longer required to obtain health code from the Chinese Embassy or Consulates before departure.
3.3 Health Declaration to China Customs
Travelers need to report the test results to China Customs by filling the Health Declaration Form either on Wechat mini-program of China Customs (scan the QR code below),or at https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn/htdeclw … clare.html, or via the China Customs APP.
3.4 Entry Inspection
There will be no nucleic acid test when travelers enter China, and no quarantine for those whose health declaration and entry inspection produce normal results. In case of a positive test result or any symptoms such as fever detected by China Customs, travelers will take an antigen test. Those who test positive in the test will need to have a self-quarantine.
